Meteor Impact

Imaginary image showing the impact of a meteor an a desert plant's surface. The meteor seems to have a molten center. Clouds of dust billow at the site of impact. The whole scene is bathed with a mottled orage glow.

I don’t generally do action pic-like explosion scene, but, when Jim shared his photo of an ancient impact site in Crater Nation Park . . . I pondered all week, and the only thing I could think of was to add the meteor and clouds of smoke & dust (from PixelSquid). I made a layer of deep yellow and dark orange with the cloud filter to give the whole scene and other-worldly glow.

Oh, by the way, I’ve added two new Photoshop videos this week: a demo on Workspaces and a tutorial on using the frame tool. Click on the “Videos” tab to view.

Take care and stay well.
